From 15 to 17 September 2026, a Vietnam Customs delegation led by Vu Quang Toan attended the 7th Vietnam-Cambodia Border Customs Conference in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
At the conference, the two sides reported results on anti-smuggling and trade fraud and reviewed cooperation under the Memorandum of Understanding since the 2025 conference.
Cambodia Customs committed to actively join the Mekong Dragon Campaign against illegal trafficking of narcotics and wild fauna and flora, initiated by Vietnam Customs and China Customs.
Both sides agreed to strengthen anti-smuggling for goods in transit at their border areas and to handle imports and exports under each country's laws and international documents.
The 8th Vietnam-Cambodia Border Customs Conference will be held in Vietnam in 2027.
