Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang said in New Delhi that Vietnam backs a multilateral trading system that is open and rules-based.
Talks covered how tariffs and non-tariff barriers bite, how trade flows shift, how supply chains diversify, and the strain on that rules-based system.
Hang said diversification of supply chains and changes to global trade rules have to be inclusive and bring wide benefits to every country.
She restated Vietnam's pledge to keep tight control over goods origin, block origin fraud and fight illegal transshipment.
